BLACK COLLEGE TOUR

IAC’s Black College Tour is a unique opportunity because whereas most students are typically only afforded the chance to visit one or two colleges/universities during their high school career, through the IAC BCT , students have an opportunity to visit nine colleges and universities in less than one week. The BCT provides a way for students to have an audience and dialogue with administrators, admissions officers, current students, faculty, and staff.  Students can ask direct questions; explore scholarship possibilities; visit campus facilities, including residence halls, classrooms, laboratories, and dining facilities; and investigate extracurricular activities. The tour provides the students with information to make comparisons to other colleges and universities in which they may be interested.

The IAC Black College Tour typically is scheduled during the most commonly held spring break dates within the greater Indianapolis area. If your child’s spring break does not coincide with our set tour dates, we can provide the necessary documentation for the school to certify that this is an approved educational advancement activity that will enhance the scholar’s academic preparation.

To date, well over 1,400 students have toured approximately 30 HBCUs by way of the IAC BCT. Without question, students and their families benefit greatly from this signature tour and educational program.

Many students have reported…

“I never knew about HBCUs.”
“I’m so glad I came.”

“I can really see myself here…”
