FAMILY LIFE EDUCATION

The Indianapolis Alumnae Chapter (IAC)’s Family Life Education program was established in 2003. Outraged at the death of their Soror at the hands of her estranged husband, IAC, led by our Soror, Dr. Ruth Lambert, started exploring “best practices” nationwide and connected with the Healthy Marriage Initiative within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  From this relationship, grew the Indiana Healthy Marriage and Family Coalition (IHMFC), which is comprised of over 200 faith-based community partners.  The IHMFC’s mission is to identify and promote the value of healthy marriages and vibrant families.
